Motivation. Something you are born with or something you create.
Honestly – it is a little of both. We are naturally born with some motivation for basic survival instincts but I believe we can create and learn skills that improve our motivation.
Here are five ways I believe you can improve motivation in your life.
Set goals. Set goals in your work life, set goals in your relationships. Set goals in your health. Set goals in every area of your life. If you don’t set goals, what are you working towards?
Follow a schedule. Like goals, a schedule helps align you in life. This doesn’t mean you need to plan your entire life out minute by minute but set something to help keep you on track.
Set your influences up. Find 5 people you wish to be like and learn everything about them. How they became successful. They say if you don’t have good influences you can’t make good decisions.
Surround yourself with likeminded people. You become like the 5 people you surround yourself with. Are you happy with who you spend time with? If you wouldn’t trade places with any of your friends you need to find a new group of friends.
Set alarms and stick to them. This one may sound silly but don’t snooze your alarm in the morning – wake up and take advantage of all the extra hours to accomplish your goals, to-dos of the day. Accomplished people don’t hit snooze.
Motivation. We all can achieve it, if we want it bad enough.
