Anxiety Toolkit

My Anxiety Toolkit is always changing but I thought it was about time that I share what I do to help combat my anxiety.

First up, get a good journal and pen set. I found mine on Amazon – but any notebook/pen set up will do. Keep this handy and when you feel like your thoughts are overtaking start to write. Write anything and everything. Essentially word vomit until you feel that calmness beat the lying thoughts in your head.

I really find having a comfort show or movie readily available to distract my mind. I have a list of my go-to shows that I can easily navigate to on my TV to distract my mind and take me to a happy nostalgic place.

Having a pair of tennis shoes. That is right the age old advice – GET MOVING. Even better if you can get outside. Fresh air, moving your body will help ease that case of worries. Those endorphins will do your body wonders and an extra bonus you get in shape, too.

Having a good support system. A set of people you can always rely on to be there when you need them the most. They are a text, call or car ride away. These people are your lifeline, the confidants you need to work through the issue at hand.

Having a set of games, coloring books, etc.. on hand to keep your brain focused on something else besides racing thoughts will extremely bring relief to your life.

My daily medication (this does not apply to everyone) but for me without medication, life is not manageable. If you are like me – don’t forget that IMPORTANT puzzle piece.

My Happy Juice is a new addition to my toolkit. A curated mixture that not only supports healthy mind and body but supports my daily functions to help me live the best life possible. If you are interested in checking out Happy Juice – follow the link here 🙂

A toolkit is everchanging but if you can find a few things that will bring relief while your brain is lying to you – that will be LIFECHANING when dealing with anxiety.
