Books you need to add to the Collection

I find myself going through phases where I read all the time, to seasons of not picking up a book for months. Anyone else relate?

When I do get into a good book – I can’t put it down until I turn that last page. I found a few of my favorites and wanted to share if you were searching for new additions for your bookshelf (or a digital on if you are an avid Kindle reader)

My first recommendation whether you or someone you love struggles with Anxiety or Depression is called Attacking Anxiety. If you take any of my recommendations, this is my number one from this post. This book changed my life. My perspective. My family and friends perspective. Honestly is a read that I think everyone should take advantage of. A book that should be pushed in school. To give you a run down without spoilers – Shawn Johnson, Lead Pastor of Red Rocks Church, shares his experience with mental health, specifically anxiety and depression.

Next up, another great self-help book is The Slight Edge. A simple yet effective book that will leave you inspired to take action for change. A book dedicated to find a way of thinking, a way of processing information that enables you to make the daily choices that will lead you to the success and happiness you desire

When I tell you I read this book in one sitting I am not exaggerating. Atomic Habits – honestly a read that will help you change your current habits to great habits. This book is uniquely practical and insanely useful – every chapter will leave you changed. Enjoy more, focus on less – KEY TAKE AWAY.

Wanting deeper friendships, but struggling to find the formation of those. Read I’ll Be There (but I will be wearing sweatpants) This book brought a new perspective of what friendship really is – I now have found a great group of friends who I have instilled what I learned in that book in those deep friendships. Que Friends theme track song “I’ll be there for you – when the rain starts to pour”

A few recommendations based off my past reads that I needed to share with you all. If you pick any of these up – share your takeaways in the comment sections. I can’t wait to see how your life is impacted.
